I think we gotta pump the breaks on Pionk. He had an excellent season no doubt but he’s not a top 5 RHD yet

If it is this season, why is there no Bishop? And Ovechkin?

To put it simply, they aren't top 5 fantasy players at their position.

Ovechkin got beat by some other very good seasons but he's obviously close.

I think Bishop just doesn't play enough to games to crack the top 5, his season total isn't good enough but his average stats are good (still not top 5 but good).

Edit:
Season total had Bishop at 8th.

For reference, there are 12 player categories and 6 goalie categories. We aren't just talking goals and assists here.

Huberdeau>pacioretty

Pacioretty had double the amount of shots and hits as huberdeau, while only scoring 12 less pts.

I mean statistically, it wasn't even close.

Edit:
Pacioretty 13th overall, Huberdeau 42nd overall.

So shots and hits is your basis there on why you pick him

As mentioned, this is a based on fantasy hockey stats. So yes. Should have included fantasy hockey in the title to avoid confusion.

No I can read and I did the research and saw pac did have the lead in some stats but other than shots everything was relatively close between the two except shots, hits for pac and points and ppp for hub.but just can’t see shots being that much of a difference maker in fantasy to pick pac over hubs

Huberdeau has the edge in 3 categories, Assists, Points, and PPP. Pacioretty had the edge in 8 categories, they are tied in one other one.

It's not like Huberdeau is scoring way more than Pacioretty, only 12 pts. But as mentioned Pacioretty has double the amount of shots and hits as Huberdeau. That's huge.

While huberdeau is a one dimensional fantasy player (he gets points), Pacioretty gets points while doing way more, (3rd in the league in shots).

Edit:
In leagues that only care about points I'm sure Huberdeau is a better option, but in most leagues that carry several categories, Pacioretty was a beast this year.

As I said, Yahoo ranked him 13th overall based on the league settings. Huberdeau was 42nd so it's not debatable its just a fact that Pacioretty was better fantasy player this year in leagues that go further than just points.

he’s almost doubled in ppp. And I wouldn’t say way more. But he does put the shots up and is more physical. And the rest of the stats are damn near close enough

The league calculates the value of players based on there total stats for the league settings and Pacioretty is 13th overall vs Huberdeau at 42nd.

There is nothing to debate either than the stats itself but they're general fantasy stats: G, A, PTS, +/-, PIMs, PPP, SHP, GWG, Sh, Hits, FOWs, BLK's.

How does 29 PPP = almost double 19 PPP. Double 19 PPP = 38 PPP.
