What would you pay for Kerfoot? He is still a 50 pt player with good two-way game, and he's only 25.

There are a number of considerations behind the roster I propose. Trading Russell for Grabner, and signing Athanasiou, Ennis, and even Gagner provides Tippett with quite a bit of versatility in his group of forwards. If Haas can't manage the 3C, there is enough flexibility to move guys up and down the roster to allow someone else to fill the 3C on spot duty. In the meantime, having Green in the lineup gives Holland a bit of freedom to consider trading Larsson, who is entering the final year of his contract. Bear might be able to play alongside Klefbom, Green or Jones beside Nurse, and the bottom pair could be any combination of Lagesson, Jones, Green and Bouchard. Moving Larsson out should net Edmonton a quality top 6 forward, or perhaps a solid 3C +.
I mean no slight against Kerfoot, but he would not be my first choice. My preference would be to pursue a right-handed 3C with some size and the ability to provide a net-front presence on the power play. From that unicorn, I would next consider a strong right-handed face-off winning machine, capable of at least 35 points/season, strong penalty killing acumen would be a bonus. Kerfoot might fit into the third tier of trade targets.
