If i were a Leafs fan, i would want this too. Even if they lose a lot, at least your watching the progression of home grown talent (draft wise that is). As much as winning is the ultimate goal, there's more to watching hockey then to only be entertained by the fact that your team is winning. At least for "real" hockey fans that is.

I hear your frustration. Greening who is 30 years of age might be one to go to the Marlies. But I don't know if Holland is in the "youngster" class. He has never shown much Laitch might stick around if only for a veteran presence and out of respect for his long term tenure. Michalek is going to be a Leaf. Lou and Michalek made a NMC handshake that he would finish out his career in the NHL. If Lou hadn't agreed to the "deal", Phanuef would still be a Leaf. And Cowen...who knows what his status his. The Leafs haven't been able to buy him out because of his apparent injuries.
