laugh laugh Once again dude, Why in the hell would Yzerman want Drouin back? Domi is a no go and Poehling doesn't have enough NHL experience to nab Larkin. Juulsen is a no go Basically scraps for our future Captain. Larkin starts in ends with both Caufield and Romanov as starters nothing less. These don't cut it.

Why would Detroit trade a 23 year old Larkin for 2 25 year olds in Drouin and Domi? That doesn't help us one iota, And we're not trading for Drouin just to flip him to Colorado that makes no sense. Like i stated the last time you made this. Detroit has no desire for either Drouin or Domi they don't fill a need for us. Larkins 2 best season are 63 and 73 points respectively Drouin's best 2 season are 53 points respectively plus Larkin has 53 points in 71 games this season so far. Larkin is tons better then both Drouin and Domi. Not even close Habs aren't surrendering what it would take to get Larkin and this doesn't cut it.

I undertsand that Larkin is a very important player on your team! But lets stay rationnal, Montreal is overpaying by a mile here in terms of value. I agree that Larkin is the best player here, but if Yzerman gets Drouin, Domi, Juulsen (NHL ready), Poehling (future 2nd/3rd C), and 8th overall Pick on a incredible draft top 10, he just accelerated his rebuild significantly! I don't think that Bergevin would pay that honestly, thats a lot. Larkin is still a beast tho i would love him as a montreal centerman.

Bottom line after the fiasco in Tampa there's noway Yzerman would have any interest in Drouin ever again. Domi doesn't move the needle and Detroit is set at RD for the foreseeable future. So like i said Drouin, Domi nor juulsen make any sense for us. Larkin would return a far better package then this. Larkin+ easily returns Zach Werenski not pieces we don't need or want. The #8 pick would be nice but that's the only decent piece coming out of this trade.

There is no way Yzerman and Drouin are on the same team and I'm sure Yzerman isn't the only who feels that way I'm sure Drouin feels the same way. Poehling played 1 game in the 2018-19 season and scored 3 goals but this season in 27 games 1g 1a for 2pts. Juulsen is in his 3rd year of pro hockey and hasn't played a single game in the NHL this season with very little offensive upside and recent injuries it looks like he might be a 3rd pair guy at best. Kulak is a left defenseman and with a bunch of teams needing left defensemen that sums up his value but as a defensive defenseman he'd be a depth guy. Then add Domi who is an older less talented version Larkin. Larkin is worth more than spare parts and Domi. Sorry but this is never going to happen.

Here is the problem with this trade and I will make points.

A rebuilding team does not trade young players for older players, Larkin is younger than both Domi and Drouin.

Larkin is the face of the organization, it would not do well to trade that face and hurt what little support the team has right now.

Larkin being a center, and has progressed into a good two center. Teams are always looking for centers, as they are hard to find.

There is the whole Yzerman and Drouin problem. I really think that plays on Yzerman's mind. Drouin could also have issues with Yzerman and he could again hold his services. Also when someone says, I will tr ride you player A and you could trade him later. That is a red flag, because why did you not trade him?

Peeling had a great 1st game and from there he has not shown much. Juelsson is interesting but we have are own player in Cholowaki and doubt they want to players on defense underachieving.

Picks are great but then again it sets rebuild ba k a couple of years. When teams rebuilding trade young good players for picks it sets that team up for a continous rebuild. Teams can not keep trading players who appear to be building g blocks for picks it sets a dangerous pro lem.

Lastly, the package is very comparable to what it may take to o tain a player like Larkin, just that there are many issues with the perception of trading Larkin and the whole issue with Yzerman and Drouin that cause this trade to kot work for Detroit.
