I don’t know which “elite” defensemen you’re referring to on the leafs. They don’t have any hence the need for one especially right handed. I know you’ll argue Rielly is elite but he’s not. He just had an elite season. He wasn’t very good this year. And has only been solid earlier in his career.

And Idk if you know but wingers aren’t the reason teams win the SC.

Reilly is definitely elite, stupid to say that he's not. Pretty much top 10 in minutes every year while being a good offensive dman and playing the PK.

Sandin is on his way to quickly become an elite dman and muzzin is one of the better two way defenders in the league seeing as he's been carrying that blue line defensively since he came to Toronto.

Wingers don't win cups? Heard of Kane, Kessel, Ovechkin? Also that Bruins team that is "built for playoffs" has their best 2 players at the wing position

I think this is really well thought out and works for both sides, to be honest. It's really hard to put together a win-win trade for two teams when you aren't a fan of either, so kudos for that.
