Pretty good. I think that KK will be in the lineup, and I don’t know if we should sign Thompson just to keep him a healthy scratch most nights. I also think that the habs probably wouldn’t want to commit to a 3 year contract with Juulsen, considering his injuries.

I've gone back & forth on wanting KK in the lineup to start the season. I agree with you, totally feel he could push for a spot at camp and stick, but with Suzuki's emergence in a C role, unless they move Domi (to either wing or another team) i don't see how they'll make that fit. I think they want him & poehling seeing big minutes in the AHL

Domi - maybe, but 6.5 with term given the financial state of the league seems likely.
Mete - yea, i've seen as much as 2.5 but i think 2 would be a good peak for a multi year term.
Evans - not likely.
Kovalchuk - I don't see him taking more than 2 - 2.5 for a one year. He's almost guaranteed to come to MTL on a mutual friendly deal.
Nate - maybe elsewhere yea
Khudobin - honestly i'd go up to 3.5 on him, love that player

Said UFAs, not all FAs. And yeah Kovalchuk and Thompson can get more for what they produce. Hopefully they ask for a fair salary.

That Domi issue isnt that big of a problem. Id move him on Zukes' wing and let him take half the faceoff (on his strong side).

Tatar (even though Id trade him)-Danault-Gallagher
Domi-Suzuki-Kovalchuk
Drouin-KK-Armia
Lehkonen-Evans-Byron

Then wait for CC to finish his season and put him on Zukes' line.... Plus the guy we will draft this year. Just imagine how good this team offense will be in one year especially if we end up with Laf! But guys like Raymond, Perfetti, Rossi and Holtz will all be elite

Fair. Although I do think that KK is an NHL player, and they shouldn’t take that away from him if he proves it in camp just because they don’t want him playing there. Plus last year when KK was healthy, Julien had no problem playing Domi on the wing, and I wouldn’t expect it to be any different this year.

I like it. Although I don’t think that Domi’s problem when he plays on the wing is not that he isn’t taking faceoffs, he isn’t particularly good at them, but more just the positioning. Although hopefully he can play well on the wing this year.

I'm in agreement with both of you, in an ideal world he takes the decision out of management's hands and makes the team without an issue. His rehab has him looking strong af which is a great sign, but i dont think its the end of the world if he starts in the A then gets called up. Still absurdly young. He's certainly an NHL player, just want to see him with bigger minutes.

The young depth is wild. I feel the need to keep Drouin in the top 6 but you're probably right, I LOVE the Domi-Suzuki-Kovalchuk line. LOVE it. Can you imagine a more fan-favorite line when they hit the ice? the Bell Centre would be electric.
