Why is Nashville getting rid of a great defender for absolute garbage? I'm sorry but not even close

Read's actually a nice player, but agreed, it's not even close. Good defensemen are expensive because they are such a scarce commodity.

This so much. If you want Ellis, you better give up a Dman prospect and Couturier.

Actually it is going to be hard for Nashville to keep all their D-Men with expansion looming so players are not worth as much this year.

Teams aren't worried in the summer of 2016 and who is going to be protected/taken in the expansion draft. Lots of time and moves can be made later. And guys remember it's only one player from each team. Shouldn't be earth shattering to lose one player.

Maybe this is a deadline deal (when teams will be trying to prepare for expansion.)

Ellis is Nashville's 2nd best dmen. Subban being their first.

Pretty sure Josi is their 2nd best D man and then it's a toss up between Ekholm and Ellis.

I'm a jets fan I watch a ton of preds games. I have never liked Josi game. Good offensively but god damn is he not got against the rush. Also struggles in his own zone when weber isn't on the ice protecting the net. And more than that Josi has a negative goals for.
