Not getting enough back for Eriksson's contract, i like Kole but not at the expense of millions in cap dump AND losing Mete.

A first round pick is quite a high prize to me.

If, and it's likely, there isn't a CBO, some teams should use their cap space as an asset. The top-10 pick is interesting for you guys, but taking Seabrook is painful. Are the 2022 picks to not have to sign prospects at the same time?

Yeap that gave a 2 year gap for contract.

Sorry but a pick in 2022 doesn't cut it, by then Hughes and Pettersson are going to be in their prime so you're likely to get a bottom first rounder, not worth it. To take 2 bad contracts I'll need another asset otherwise remove Baertschi and put a roster player (Good third liner à la Armia).

But you are not the Gm! So this offer might very well be enough. Kole Lind is very high talented prospect and a first round pick around the 16th to 31th overall pick is q nice return for a team like Montreal who have cap space to use.

None of us are the Gm...
I'm usually taking the Armia trade as a baseline for this cap dump proposition as it's still the same GM in place. Lind and Armia could be a push as kin the former has an higher ceiling but also a much lower floor as he hasn't played a game yet in the league wer whereas Armia was known to be a middle six forward. Now where I don't see the value adding up is that Montreal takes close to 4 times the amount of caphit (15.4 vs 4.1) and give a top four capable young dman plus a fifth rounder to receive a 3 years remote first rounder from an up and coming team compared to giving nothing and receiving a fourth and seventh. I'm not against the trade but as I've said that by removing Sven and putting a capable bottom six like a re-signed Leivo or a mid-tier prospect like McDonough would even it out.
