Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Barkov, Aleksander
  2. Bobrovsky, Sergei
Additional Details:
- Rangers CBO Bobrovsky. This trade only happens if CBO's are available. I know 14 Years of paying bob or however it works is insane but NYR are one of if not the most Lucrative organizations up there with Toronto and Montreal they take the deal to improve their offense and establish a Stanley cup contender by acquiring a 1C and giving the Rangers an near unstoppable offense.
FLA
  1. Day, Sean
  2. Georgiev, Alexandar [RFA Rights]
  3. Kravtsov, Vitali
  4. Lundkvist, Nils [Reserve List]
  5. Strome, Ryan [RFA Rights]
  6. 2020 1st round pick (CAR)
  7. 2020 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
- Strome can fill in the role Barkov filled speaking in the sense of positional status most definitely not talently speaking.
- Georgiev is imo almost a starter and taking over the Panthers net to establish a Knight-Georgiev Tandem in the future,
- Lundkvist is definitely the best defenseman outside the NHL and has top pairing potential if not top 4.
- Kravstov is a speedy, skilled scorer who will likely be in the NHL next year and I envision him as a top 6 F for Florida and see him being a potential 50-60 point forward. Comparable to Evgeny Kuznetsov.
- Panthers also receive 2 first round picks in this years stacked draft and offload $15M in the trade. So do they take it? How would you guys adjust?

This is the part where someone is supposed to start screaming about how they're never trading Barkov and insult you in some juvenile way. I'm not so sure on the former. Unless they move, money is the big issue in FLA. I could totally see them moving Barkov now for max return (2 years on a great deal). But if they do that, they're tearing it down and rebuilding...for the ten thousandth time since Rob Niedermayer, Scott Mellanby, Robert Svehla, Dave Lowry, and, of course, John Vanbiesbrouk were good... They should just move already. But rant aside...

Keep Strome. Florida doesn't want an RFA they're going to have to overpay for playing with Panarin. Also don't need Georgiev. Knight is their guy and they'll want to bring in more experienced mentor. Replace these with K'Andre Miller instead. Trade Strome elsewhere to find a Miller replacement on LD.

Replace the 2020 CAR 1st with the Rangers' 2021 1st (as the newest rebuild timeline would be a few years at least so no need to cluster together ELCs).

To NYR:
Barkov
Bobrovski

To FLA:
K'Andre Miller
Vitaly Kravtsov
Nils Lunkvist
2020 NYR 1st
2021 NYR 1st

That probably gets it done but unless NYR thinks they're a serious contender, not sure why they'd make this move over a more established contender which might pay more for one of the best contracts in the league.

deal. Barkov is the piece that puts uo over the top and those assets are vicariously doing through Barkov.

These absolutely gut the Rangers future. Also, that's an incredibly weak bottom 6, and a weak and unproven left side D.

Bottom 6 scoring and inconsistent defense were their biggest issues this season. 2nd line center production was not.

I like the ambition, but no. K Miller is one of the only super talented guys on the left. 2C scoring was fine this year with the Rangers with Strome. Krav is also super raw and it would be a huge mistake to get rid of him. As for the draft picks, i wouldnt mind parting with for the trade. Its not as much that we're overpaying i just dont think its necessary
