Don't need to be an arse, yes I know what potential means thats why I used it in that way, you made the pessimistic argument for Hayton while I argued the optimistic side, he'd most likely be a solid 2C. Chychrun was the 2D (that means top pairing) on one of the best defensive teams in the league while also being their best offensively talented defenseman and would fit very nicely in the Leafs system. Comparing Soderstrom to a 3rd rounder taken less than 12 months ago? This guy is a beast, Dobber Prospects has him projected as a 3rd dman and at 19 already has 2 SHL seasons under his belt. Finally, Keller is listed as a LW, C, RW here so hes not listed as just a C everywhere and hes always been a LW as far as I can tell and has taken less than 200 FOs in the league
im no more being an arse than you are hoss. And i wasnt being pesimistic about Hayton, i was being realistic because that is the most safe bet for a prospect like his potential.
as far as Chychrun goes, being the most tallented offensive defender on a team where the 2nd best guy had 32 points in 70 games isnt impressive and he'd be the 4th best current offensive guy on the Leafs. and being on 'one of the best defensive teams in the league" is a meaningless phrase because Phil Kessel was also on that team and he stinks defensivly.
And I was comparing Soderstrom to Kokkonen because it's true. Soderstrom compares closer to Kokkonen than he does to actual elite D prospects like Byram. It doesnt mean he is a bad prospect by any stretch, just that calling him an "elite top 4 defender" is presumptuous as hell.
Keller is listed as a C on Hockeydb, Eliteprospects, and like you said, here. that's what the C means that you used. Usually when a player has a C they play C too.
