MY GOD THIS TEAM WOULD BE HARD AS NAILS [This is my DREAM Scenario] - (If Pens don't go all the way this yr)

~ Get the next Great NHL Winger in Draft in Lafreniere & drop him into NHL w/ Geno & Rakell as linemates

~ Get my RWer or [my Kessel Replacement] in Rakell & hope his game turns around.

~ Get a great 2-way, mid 20's, great face-off guy - 3rd line Center in Tierney

~ Even tho traded Murr's, still got an underrated 1B Type younger Goalie still w/ very good Upside in Ullmark
_______________________________________________________________________________________
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LHD- J. Johnson #3 is The Compliance & Complete - Special Buyout for the 20'-21' Season
* All NHL Teams get a [1] time buyout bc of Virus & with Cap NOT going up to the thought to be est of $85-$87m Cap Ceiling.

ROSTER BREAK-DOWN : [Lines & Pairings]

FORWARDS :
- Line 1A ----- 59 ~ 87 ~ 16 ----- I wanted Rakell w/ Sid but this line will work for me, lol
- Line 1B ----- 11 ~ 71 ~ 67 ----- This could be just Scary AF - wow
- Line 3A ----- 19 ~ 50 ~ 17 ----- Best & most versatile 3rd line in NHL
- Line 3B ----- 13 ~ 53 ~ 72 ----- Holy 4th line - Yah, I kno Horny isn't a 4th liner but he prob wouldn't even care.

- [2] - H/S ----- 9 / 37 ----- E-Rod & Lafferty are 2 perfect back-ups that can both play all 3 positions

~ Breakdown - To have [7] Wingers that can all play in the Top 6 is just insane & could move these lines all over & different ways.

DEFENSE :
- #1 Pair ----- 8 ~ 58 ----- One of the best Top Pairings in the NHL
- #2 Pair ----- 29 ~ 6 ----- McCabe would be a perfect guy to pair w/ Johny Hockey
- #3 Pair ----- 28 ~ 5 ----- Ceci mite be better out of Canada (I'd take a chance) & Pettersson just keeps getting better

- [1] - H/S ---- 2 ----- Ruhwedel is the best #7 Dman in NHL - Also have LHD-man P.O.J. coming

GOALIES :
- 1A ---- 35 ---- Jarry is ready to take over
- 1B ---- 32 ---- Ullmark is a fav of mine - very underrated IMO

  1. Murray, Matt [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 1st round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
[#8 - #10 Overall Pick]

DET Gets:
- A franchise Goalie still only 25 yrs old & already a 2- Time Cup winning Goalie.
And still get a Top 10 Pick
3.
PIT
  1. McCabe, Jake ($1,425,000 retained)
  2. Ullmark, Linus [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
~ G- L. ULLMARK is a very Underrated Goalie IMO & would be a near perfect [cheaper & getting better each yr] 1B to 1A G- Jarry.
+ BUF: Signs Holtby & has Ukko-Pekka coming.
~ McCABE - a very good D-man who's been stuck on a bad team for too long.
* BUF fans give away McCabe for a 3rd to a 6th Rd Pick in every Armchair team.

  3. Riikola, Juuso [RFA Rights]

4.
PIT
  1. Rakell, Rickard
  2. Stolarz, Anthony
  3. 2020 6th round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
~ RAKELL is / has been a fav player of mine & after 2 - average seasons in ANA, this gives #67 a chance to get back to a 30+ G & 70 Point mark playing w/ 87 or 71.
+ ANA has so many young forwards that should be ready to take that next step in - Steel, Terry, Lundstrom, Comtois, & Jones. Also have Zegras coming [wow, they are loaded]
~ Stolarz is a very good #3 Goalie.
ANA
  1. Bjugstad, Nick
  2. DeSmith, Casey
  3. Légaré, Nathan
  4. 2020 4th round pick (PIT)
  5. 2021 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
- BJUGSTAD - Is still a good player (but had core injury) & could be a steal as a #2 - #3 Center or a Top 6 RWer.
- DeSMITH - would be a cheap / reliable back-up to Whitehall John (is still good even tho stuck in AHL).
- LEGARE - Pens 2nd best prospect (kills me to move him) & [2] Draft picks - 21' - 2nd Rdr & 20' - 4th Rdr
5.
PIT
  1. Tierney, Chris [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
~ TIERNEY - the Nick Bonnino Trade 2.0?
In mid 20's, a great bottom 6 type 2- way Center & good face-off guy that is a 3rd line Center but playing 2nd line Center minutes bc on a bad team.
OTT
  1. Almari, Niclas
  2. Simon, Dominik [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
- SIMON - a very good 2- way Top 9 Forward that can play all [3] positions, who's skill set is underrated. I'd bet he blows up up in OTT getting more playing time.
- ALMARI - a good LHD-man prospect that will prob be a bottom pairing guy.

The "ZAR is the best defensive forward in the NHL" has got to stop tears of joy
I'm a PIT fan and can say that is absolutely ridiculous

With how much is wrong in this, that got overlooked by many... just thought I'd point it out

* Selling point, lol

Sabres say no. Ullmark was really solid this year. Him getting hurt was the reason why they didn’t make the playoffs.

I get yah, I just really like him as a 1B type
Sabres923 liked this.

Team is sick. Love the details. I agree though DET wouldn't make that deal. No interest in Ceci but I love Rakell and McCabe and Tierney would be nice pieces to land.

Thanks bro,
I was kind of stuck at the end with needing a RHD and took the chance on Ceci

That team is insane but those trades seem very lopsided in PITs favour. I dont think any of those teams accept

Thanks and I prob agree

No way DET gives up Laf for just about anything on this team, the only way we'll get Laf is if we win the lotto

(*I love Miletic*) we're giving up the three best assets in the BUF trade imo...

At least you agree ANA doesn't need more middle 6 forwards... So why is the return package mostly two middle 6 forwards, a marginal backup upgrade, late pick, and 1 asset they'll find useful in the second... (Also Rakell is not close to a liability defensively like Kessel was... They're very different players)

Simon>Tierney, he's terrible (.... I mean Simon isn't great... But Tierney just isn't good)

I agree about Laf trade (more of a wish)

- just meant Rakell replaces Kessel spot on PP1
+ ANA needs a back-up, Legare is great prospect, Juggs could be a steal in a contract yr , and 2 picks for Rakell (who i love) but has had 2 very avg seasons is more than fair

- Tierney would be a near perfect 3C

ANA doesn't need a backup... There's a 50/50 shot Miller comes back, and they've already said they're more perfectly fine with just having Stolarz as the backup next year if Miller doesn't come back, Legare is good yes, I line Legare yes, Legare is not better than Steel Terry Zegras Comtois BoG Heinen Lundestrom and Milano (he was really good in a small sample size with the ducks) plus there's Rico and Silf signed for 4-5 more years, and Max Jones also exists, they just simply don't have room/need Legare, and next year they don't need Jugs either, Steel Terry and Comtois will/should be in the top 9, Getz isn't going anywhere, Silf and Rico are still there, Heinen and Milano should be in the top 9, plus Zegras should be pushing for a roster spot, and there's a chance Lundestrom could make it as well, plus Jones can play top 9 if needed... And is it worth Rakell and 4.1 mil to upgrade your fourth line from Backes/Rowney/Ago/Deslauriers to Jugs... Don't think so...

Tierney is simply not a good hockey player, and he's really not that good defensively

-Miller is done
-Stolarz is not a back up
- Legare would be a prospect
- I wouldnt put Heinen , Milano in that catagory + They are bad so they need players, so I def think so
- Rakell would put up Guentzel type numbers here ... he just has no elite Centers in ANA anymore = need Centers
- U do kno Tierney has been the #1 Center for OTT ... but yah he isnt good, LMAO, he isnt good defensively ... thats funny

Miller hasn't officially said he's retiring

THE DUCKS THEMSELVES SAID they're ok with Stolarz as a backup

Yeah... So are most of the other guys I listed, or they're young enough to still be there (and force Legare out likely) in 2-4 years when Legare is ready...

Yes, he would be spectacular here, they need high end centers... Not third line centers like jugs, that's probably their biggest strength (well non first line centers) they have Getz Rico and Steel, Terry and Comtois have both played a little bit of C if needed (but they are mainly wingers) and TREVOR ZEGRAS coming...

Yeah, Patrik Nemeth has been the best d man in Detroit, that doesn't mean he should win the Norris (yes this is an exaggeration, internet) just bc a guy is playing there (and putting up by far the worst numbers of any guy getting those mins) doesn't mean he's good... Even if you adjust for his QoT and QoC he's still far below average at just about everything last I checked...
