Hoffman is a no go. His feud with Karlsson boxes that right away (sucks cause I’d take Hoffman’s production over Karlsson any day of the week)
Marleau and Thornton are seasoned vets on cheap contracts and they are an upgrade over the guys in the minors right now.
Our minors forwards are either not ready or not good enough to justify them over those two.

Oh crap - 100% those wifey's are nuts - good call!

Living with Karlsson and his wife for 2 years I would much prefer Hoffman and his wife

    edit - @Rob32sjsharks
    I hear ya on Joe-Paddy.
To me the crux is they are being asked to play 3rd-4th line roles and it's just not in their DNA. Paddy can still motor but Joe is not gonna chase down a Nathan Mac for example (I know who can). Moreover, the PP time is diminished to secondary/tertiary roles as well and that just "snowballs" in SJ...

Sadly. This team is not good. Screams, Borderline playoff contender.

I would probably switch Meier to RW because I think Johnsson>Anderson

Meier IS a right winger. He play's SO much better when he's on his off wing imo.

Imma be real with you fam, I hate Melker Karlsson sometimes. I wouldn't sign him if my life depended on it.

This is the most realistic, but just a reminder that this is only a 21 man roster and there's no cap room whatsoever. I genuinely think we need a CBO or we HAVE to move Burns/Vlasic to have any chance at being competitive next season. This is still a decent team, but I see more logistical problems than I do positives...

The Melkman grew on me over the course of the season, so I've grown sympathetic to his tireless contributions. During this downtime, I've also been watching the 2016 SC Playoff run, where he was giving his all that entire time, so I know he's capable of being a good bottom-6 guy.

Forreal doh, I just needed some cheap depth to finish this build off, and Melker was ready and willing to answer the call.

Imma try another thing tho... Standby.

It buys us a year to figure our sh1t out. If the tactic is good enough for TOR it should be good enough for us. cool
