My point is their stats are so similar (points wise) it is ludicrous to suggest the quality of the team doesnt make a difference.

Last year, which you cite: matthews 88 point pace, eichel 87 point pace.

Since you want to cite points don't matter for Matthews, how about icetime? Matthews never got the ice time he deserved under Babs. Was way below Eichel.
