As a fan of neither team you guys are arguing about which secondary players are better than which secondary players. They are all secondary players. Eichel is the best player in the above trade and it is not remotely close. He is something that half the teams in the NHL wish they had, a true super elite franchise centre. Debrusk being better or worse or equal to Olofsson is completely irrelevant. Eichel wants out and Boston wants him, it would absolutely start with Pastrnak and it would be a significant price in addition to that. I don't think it would be unrealistic for Buffalo to want McAvoy or at least Carlo + as well.

Lol @CatmanV is a fan of neither team. And he agreed with me, so it doesnt matter that you said "As a fan of neither team"

Not at all, not one person here said it would start with pasta.
Pasta 1 for 1 is the more accurate trade

A winger is not worth a centre. Pasta is a extremely good player but Eichel is better and Centres cost way more. Pasta + at least a 1st round pick but I'd wager it would be more than that.

Quite the contrary. Wingers are generally more valuable than a center because there are far less of them.
Pasta is currently being considered a top 3 RW, but Eichel isn’t even a top 5 center. This doesn’t mean that Pasta is better though. But what it does mean is that pasta is more valuable. Factor all of that in along with skill, you get a 1 for 1 at best.

Yeah like the other guy said. I am also a fan of neither team, just tryna make sure it’s fair.
Bruins don’t “want” Eichel, they have too much Center depth and prospective depth

Literally no one says that and there are 2 wingers to every centre. Just ridiculous statement.

Well...in a year, maybe 2 he gets a NMC. Now that happens

Not really. Then it’s just
Jack: Trade me to Boston!
Buffalo: no.
Jack: Please?
Buffalo: no.

The only way it happens is if he would rather not play than play anywhere else.

Then it's like buffalo trade me, buffalo no, Jack ok I won't play, buffalo ok we will look around, Buffalo best deal came from LAK, Jack I won't waive unless it's .....

In that case, like he said, Pasta MUST BE better than Eichel if he is a top 3 LW but Eichel isnt even a top 5 Center. Because the point is, (even if you look at NHL ratings), there are far more centers at each level than wingers (despite there being a LW and a RW).

The top 10 centres are worth more than any winger.

This logic is the exact reason why the flat earth theory is gaining steam again. Or why there are antivaxers. Well 2 other people agree with my opinion that completely lacks any credibility or logic so it must be correct and truthful.

Think Ritchie and Kuraly would get more than a 2nd rounder. Agree more salary needs to go the other way.
