I don't see a Rask buyout but I think you nailed the likely Wild offseason unfortunately. Also don't see Chucky being used as a 2c.

If a CBO happens Rask is the biggest candidate for it, there’s no way he plays next year. I do have some faith in Chucky, but I’ll concede that him at 2C is least likely to happen. I just think the GEEK line is to good to break up.

I really can’t see a trade happening offseason, everything is too off, but I’m also not a GM. Re-Signing Beck and Liambas given the amount of young guys in Iowa seemed to be a must for me at least.

Zucc, Parise, or Spurgeon should all be ahead of Rask for a CBO.

I don't mind Rask on the team. He's overpayed but produces at a good pace for what he was given for playing time and linemates. I don't think BB liked/wanted him at all and he never even had a chance to even earn a spot in the lineup this year.

I'm sorry SPURGEON??? SPURGEON??? THE GUY WHO IS CONSISTENTLY A TOP 10 D MAN IN THE NHL THAT'S WHO THE WILD ARE BUYING OUT???

On top of that, all those buyouts are looooonnnngggg, and you don't save any money. Worst comes to worst you can put them on LTIR and they earn their contracts there.

Also, Rask didn't get time because he sucked.

Spurgeon: the d-man who can't play a full season, get 40p/year, box out the crease, or carry a pairing. A top-10 d-man in the league is a joke. Heck, he's the 3rd best d-man on the Wild, and if Dumba finds his game from 18-19 again Spurgeon would be the 4th d-man on the team. Suter has by far been the best d-man on the team for years. Brodin was this year, then Suter.

Do realize that Rask's 5v5 totals were on pace with Zucker's last year? They were also better than Parise, Greenway, and Koivu. Rask isn't great by any means, but he's better than Wild fans give him credit for.

Never said Zucc or Parise were better. Just that their buyouts were a lot worst.
