A 24 year old RD and a 25 year old C/LW address two Toronto needs. Quality costs quality, and Toronto's weaknesses (RD and team defense) are both addressed here. Is Kapanen a steep price? Yes, but offense is one thing TOR doesn't lack. IMO, I think these two players improve the team more than kapanen by himself

I don't think Honka can play the top pairing with Rielly. Holl is already on the shutdown pair w Muzz so that leaves the third pairing where we already have like 3 guys rotating those 2 spots. Would Kerfoot + 4th for Laughton + 6th work? Kerfoot can play wing too btw.

A bottom pair RD isn't a need for Toronto. Nor is Laughton really; they have Kerfoot who is the better player/center and they also have plenty of depth on the wings.
