Conclusion: NHL GM's don't know how to evaluate d men, there were SO many other bad contracts I could have put on here (plus a bunch of complete steals, I think that's more luck than anything)
Also don't give goalies lots of money, they're not that good

Hayes is worth the deal rn, that was my I'll just toss him on bc everyone flipped out when it was signed (plus that's a lot of money for a long time for a guy who could end up being your 3C)
