Jack Eichel is a top 5 center in this league. Hughes or Pettersson would come back to Buffalo.

Eichel is elite no doubt but $10m has to be considered. Cap space for any team in these times is magnified.

Virtanen cheap cost control mid 6 winger
Demko developing well & cheap
Utunen depth defensive D prospect.
The 2nd to help sweeten it.

Jack Eichel starts with either Pettersson or Hughes, Not those pieces. Unless either Pettersson or Hughes are starters. Eichel to Vancouver isn't happening.

That doesn't get you Eichel. VAN doesn't even need to make that trade, they are already trending in the right direction.

My offer considered positions that would benefit the Sabres to fill holes & depth issues as I see them. I was searching for a bigger trade that could facilitate that.

My position as a Canuck fan is prioritize the cap. Moving out player packages that are suitable to teams that could be trade partners. If some deals are not there to be made then move on & find it elsewhere or wait til the timing is better. The Canucks must make changes this offseason & we all know it will happen to some degree.
