Random Buffalo trades part 1

Created by: kinghv93
Team: 2020-21 Los Angeles Kings
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 18, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I saw this trade posed by a Sabres fan and wanted to see what Kings fans thought. I am not endorsing this trade, but I saw this and wanted to see what it would look like for the kings. Losing out on two-thirds of our top line, we add a defenseman who definitely could use a break from all that is Buffalo and we give a young center who was once a top 10 prospect a fresh start with no pressure to become a scoring sensation overnight.

I think that Rasmus Ristolainen is one of the most divisive players in the NHL, in the sense that half of us think he's worth a lot and half of us think he's worth less (pun intended). This, and similar trades involving Adam Henrique or another Anaheim forward, depend upon your evaluation of RR.

If you think he's as good as, say, David Savard, then you like this trade. If you think he's the functional equivalent of Cody Ceci or Nikita Zaitsev, you don't.

Risto if something does not play LD, and your team seems to need more LD than RD. Also I doubt Brown would want go to Buffalo.

The only way i see Brown going to Buffalo is to play in front of his hometown(Ithaca NY almost 3 hours from Buffalo) before he retires, but it is a long shot cuz i can see him pulls a Jumbo Joe route.

I like Risto, but this trade just seems weird. It feels like neither team really gets better with this trade. It’s like scooping water out of one end of the pool and dumping it into another

Was just picking brains of Kings fans because I’ve been seeing a lot of Buffalo-LA trades being proposed on arm GM, and this one is a little more realistic than Eichel to LA for the entire farm
