Rangers pass. Grabner making 3+ mil does not fit the team's salary cap needs, and that's without considering the eye injury that basically destroyed his play

he played well here and NYR are getting a pick back. He's on an expiring deal and we take a chance on him bouncing back

He missed 41 games last season, and 24 more this season. Pass

Maybe if the pick was a 2nd or 3rd I'd take the trade, but the contract isn't expiring at the end of this season, it's at the end of next season. Y'know, the one where we're in the worse cap situation

Take Stepan out. Would AZ do Ranta and a 3rd for Miller?

We could but I don't think he's any good anymore. Numbers have really dipped the last 2 years. I'd rather spend that $4.5 mil on a real center or top 6 forward. I don't think he's better than Marcus Johanson at this point.

Buffalo can not afford that, Stepan hasn’t been good since leaving the Rangers and thus is just a cap weight we can’t just eat
