While I agree Carolina overpaid. This offer is insufficient. This would be a BIG win for the NYR.

I think it would probably take both 1sts with St.Louis' 1st coming back (assuming they get the lower 1st) and take out the 5th round pick.

Either that or take out the 5th and throw in a 2nd.

This is probably an accurate package for worth, but it doesn't alleviate any real cap concerns for us which could impact us re-signing Pietrangelo- basically meaning we could lose two offensive play drivers on the backend for a first round pick. No real motivation to move on from Dunn at this point.

I agree. I think trading Dunn for anything other than an overpay (ex. two 1sts) would be a mistake.
