Leafs 5th worst in GA. Doesn’t leave most teams below that. Top 4 D fetches more than a mid 6 winger. The 3rd is meh.

CBJ declines. They can get a 1st for Savard.
They don't want a cap dump and a 3rd or 2nd.

The adjusted Savard trade is still not of interest. A 1st two years from now is not worth losing Savard early, especially if we also have to give up a 2nd to make it happen. And Johnsson just isn't useful here - we've got too many wingers already and he's not an upgrade on any of our top-6ers.

No, because he's not a #2C. We need a #2C. And the Leafs don't have one of those - they've got two elite #1Cs and then a few bottom-sixers.
