I remembered the Sabres started their Franchise with the Royal Blue jersey and some French Canadian kid named Gilbert Perreault. This could be a good way to celebrate the 50th anniversary: Royal Blue Jersey and the drafting of Perreault's fellow countryman in Alexis Lafreniere.

We're not going to trade Brodin, our 2LD, for Ristolainen, a 2RD. We already have one of those, his names Dumba, a 2RD, who is better than Ristolainen.

The only way the Wild would consider trading for Risto is if we had just moved Dumba, or on the verge of doing so as to acquire a replacement for Dumba on our 2nd pairing.

Ristolainen would then be paired/playing with Brodin. We sure as hell wouldn't use Brodin to aquire Dumba's replacement.
