I disagree. Andreas is a cap dump that TOR would be lucky to get rid of. They can easily bring in another forward like IDK maybe give Bracco 1 chance at NHL play. Or Robertson... That's a $3.4M mistake you can shed. Risto's not going to win you the Norris, but he's better than people give him credit for. He's actually the kind of playing that might have success with a change of scenery. TOR also needs a cost controlled Dman pretty badly. I think TOR is winning this trade...and the reason BUF might do it is because they're shaking things up a bit and Risto isn't exactly thrilled in BUF.

Risto has lead BUF in ice time for 5 full years.... He's got 200+ hits... averages ~115 blocks a season... He's their TOP PK... He's still a 40 point Dman every single year. Doesn't cough up the puck. I mean I know he's not going to win the Norris. I 100% get it, but he'd be TOR top pair RD. No questions. He's exactly what TOR needs.

Let's look at this another way. We agree that Johnsson needs to go. How good do you think Kerfoot is where TOR is the one that says NO? $3.4M a year is HUGE It's ironically pretty darn close to the price delta of Nylander and Marner. It's like paying Nylander $10.4M...but you don't get the results of Marner.

***EDIT*** I'm not a BUF fan at all! But this site gets a little out of hand on him.
