I like the team and agree with everyone on the roster pretty much. My only question is, Do you think they would consider Gallagher? My reasoning is that he is highly skilled yet underrated as a goal scorer. For instance, did you know that in the last 3 years only 4 players have scored more 5 on 5 goals than Gallagher! Those players are; Ovechkin, Mathews, McDavid and Kucherov. Not bad company if you ask me! The only question for me would be who would you leave off. That would be a hard decision and one I am thankful I don't have to make. LOL

Gallagher is very good, but that's like suggesting Mike Hoffman should be an Olympian. Both great players, but not at that level.

I mean they’d both be olympians for every country not named Canada (or possibly the unites states), but yes I agree

No Weber on international ice, he just lacks mobility and skating on bigger ice

Sure, but the argument isn't "is he an Olympian if he plays for Slovakia", it's is he an Olympian for Canada. Like I said, he's a great player, and one of the best net front players on his team. But he's behind players that I would never consider for the Olympics.

That said, Chris Kunitz was on Team Canada in 2014, so anything is possible.

Chris Kunitz during the 2013 and 2014 seasons were better than Gallagher has ever been. First team all star in 2013, 35 goal season in 2014. He had two excellent years and deserved to be on the team. Kunitz was always a good 50-60 point pace forward his entire career, and then exploded those two seasons. Underrated guy

He was great, but there's no reason he should have been there over a guy like Taylor Hall. He was unreal that year. He was selected because he played well with Crosby, not because he was the best option available.

Yeah I’ll give you that one. And he played the role of a grinder / fore checker while hall was more of a skill guy and Canada had many of those

Forward group is cloest to what we'll see.

The defense isn't.
