Description

the defence is much improved with damelo, but they still need hellebuyck to save them lets be honest. their top 6 is great in this configuration, but im a bit dissapointed with their depth. would have loved to see veslainen on the camp roster but he isnt there :(

I’m pretty positive that Laine has a much higher WAR then Connor, and DeMelo>Pionk

I'd swap Copp and Wheeler, Copp is more of a natural C, and probably had the higher GAR

I'm not a fancy stat guy and I like Andrew Copp but he's not a top 6 forward in any way imo.

unfortunately he doesnt (im using standing points above replacement). although even if he did, i would still want a balanced top 6 instead of it being too top heavy

Yeah offensively he isn’t quite top 6 level, but defensively he is the most competent forward on the roster. Connor and Scheifele were two of the worst defensive players in the entire league this year so it would help if someone good defensively would play with them.

i thought Laine had a 1.7 WAR no? Connor was pretty much replacement level from everything that I saw which would translate into a higher SPAR for Laine
