Gonna be interesting to see what a team like this looks like over the next 2-3 years. I think it's possible that quite a few decent players get waived/bought out/cap dumped as a result of the cap not going up. We already see it with guys like Shattenkirk and Nichushkin- guys who have provided remarkable value to TB and COL, respectively, this year- showing up on here. Flat cap will only exacerbate that.

No, yes he was retained, but not as a cash dump but as a rental, I could say the same about the Leafs T. Barrie, who's %50 retained but was not a non wanted player.

I see, I just don't remember him ever being a waiver claim or anything like that

He's a 3 time loser, the Leafs cash dumped him and than the Canes bought him out and finally the Sharks sold him as a rental.

Oh yeah lol, I forgot about that saga, but I wouldn't really count being sold as a rental as being a reject, then you could have guys like Stone and Duchene etc on here

True, but the cash dump and buy out makes Marleau a NHL reject.

I hope Marleau can play one more season and pass Gordie Howe in NHL games played, both Messier, Francis and Jagr retired instead of passing him.
