Leafs wont match it but thats an awfully big risk to be taking on a guy whos only played 40 NHL games with the company he did.

You are missing one goaltender.

What is the story behind Suomella? I hope he is good because that 2nd round pick from Colorado can become close to a third round pick.

How much is Faksa gonna cost? The value isn't bad, but San Jose can't really afford to pay more than 2-2.5 million MAX for a 3C

Fixed. Figured the SJ second would be too greedy

3-3.5 million. Not sure it’s a fit but I like Gambrell and Suomela a lot

Kid has the goods. I think it’s a risk worth taking imo. Doesn’t matter cause Nill doesn’t have the bolas for an offer sheet

I mean I'm biased, but I like Suomela a lot. Every coach we've had in SJ has screwed him over with ice time and healthy scratches because apparently they didn't like him or something. He's undersized and gets knocked off pucks sometimes, but is really smart, has great skating and hands, and is decent defensively. It sounds like he's on the way out of our organization (infuriatingly) so they likely trade his rights elsewhere.

That is funny because we have the same type of story in Dallas with Julius Honka

He's a RHD and if he can play on the 3rd pairing this year, I'd be happy to take him.

Would be the perfect spot for him. I like a lot of thing a about him. I just think he got the problem label here and hasn’t been able to get rid of it

Really hate it when that happens :/

Although what’s his value? I know he was a 1st rounder, so I can’t imagine Dallas would be happy to just do Sumo for Honka 1 for 1.

I read that Nill was asking for a 3rd round pick so I guess a swap is possible.

Interesting. I doubt Sumo would cost anything more than a 5th so we might have to add a pick in there to get it done.

I feel like Mik accepts that offer, but he is very high on Toronto and is reportedly willing to take a massive discount this summer.
