Why would Ottawa want to add 2 years of a more expensive, older player?

Before Yamamoto, when the Oilers needed Neal, no way would this go through. But now that Neal’s production has curbed, and Kailer is playing like an all star, the Oilers would love a cheaper guy with less term. No from them.
The sens clearly do not need Anisimov with all of their prospects filling out. IMO they could use an experienced veteran who know some how to score and can hopefully find chemistry with Tkachuk or Byfield/Stützle. Yes from them.

There si no reason for Ottawa to retain slaary on the deal that only has 1 year left when they have no cap problems. Then on top of that take on Neal and his terrible deal and do not get anything for it
