Mete is really not enough to move up about 30 spot. If its the MTL 2nd its already closer but I dont think a team would give up a chance for a future good player for a guy like Mete. He cant hit, cant shot, cant produce, cant defend the front of the net or win 1v1 battles. He has an ok offensive IQ, a good defensive IQ and outstanding skatin abilities but thats it. He's also too small for a 3rd pairing roll playing agaisnt tougher guys but not good enough for a 2nd pairing role right now. Hes not worth much, at least in my mind, this is rejected pretty fast.

It was Chicago's second which is one spot behind the Habs so do not see much of a difference there. Mete on the Devils would be a second pairing guy and his value from other threads is anywhere from a 2nd to a 2nd + 3rd or 4th. Plus it is only moving up anywhere from 20-25 spots.

Yeah sorry in my mind there was a 10 spot difference I was thinking about last year but still, like dirty dangle said, I think he's worth a 3rd round pick + maybe a late late pick. I could see a team moving down to get Mete but not from 15-20 to 40. More like from 70 to 95. Mete would maybe be top 4 for NJ but not because he play at this caliber and more because they also suck at this position so it does not change much is actual value in the trade market.
