+ The TB trade isn't really a "blow it up", given that Brayden Point is coming back in the deal. Brayden Point is getting better every season, and is already better than Monahan.

I don't know much at all about the 3 prospects in the deal, so can't speak to that value.

I would agree with you that CGY isn't getting full value for Gaudreau in this deal for sure, and if that's the issue, then no argument here.

Because the Avs already have a high end 3C and have an ass load of bottom 6 guys including former 1st rd picks that are pushing into the NHL. Pretty much the last thing on the planet the Avs are trading for is a bottom 6 guy. Oh wait there is a bottom 6 guy that makes $3M+. Like I said laugh and pass.

The worst thing about this site is the people that come in and do their whole "team A laughs" schtick without explaining why, especially when the value in a trade isn't the problem, it's just that the trade isn't a fit. It's actually against the forum rules now to do that....probably because it just incites petty bickering.

No logic dictates good teams don’t spend assets to improve their bottom 6 when they have invested in it in draft picks. So yeah will pass.

Well actually I was going to post something different but I was at work got side tracked clicked submit. But if you’re going to post trades to team at least have some idea of whom you are trading too not just because it fits for one team. But In the spirit of promoting a more positive experience I apologize for my terse answer. It doesn’t change the fact the Avs have zero interest in adding an expensive bottom 6 guy though.
