You dont care that a trade that wouldnt happen, bc 1 the player is not available and 2 the value that they are proposing doesnt temp the Avs in the slightest,
You cant get a top pairing Dman for some problem children on your roster

face it, you could use some “problem children” that can score so you don’t have just your OP first line scoring. Think long term, not “Girard is not moving”. You have too many young Dmen, you could spare one

Avs are top 3 in league scoring, domi is on the 4th line and most likely asking for a trade this offseason, drouin is a bust..

outside of Suzuki there is not 1 player on their roster I would even want in any girard hypothetical talks.

This is why there are so many “team a laughs and hangs up”, or “team B says you’re a dumb a$s”. The best trades on here are the ones that are realistic to both teams.

I think people keep posting Girard trades to stir the pot, and because he's from Quebec. But I think Ghost would come much cheaper and has put up some big numbers. Better yet sign Krug.
