People will say that this is unfair for the ducks but they need to get from under that Kesler contract. Ducks paid salary is actually around 69 million so high end most likely of their budget.

Tbh I think Henrique is pretty good player probably same value as Kessler but with a better contract and younger I don't think the trade is far out

NJD are not giving enough back. Take out Montour and NJD add a pick or 2 then it's fair. Henrique = Kesler (based on performance and cap hit) Fowler>>Bennett & Josefson

Keslers contract is very bad. Will be hard to trade. He is regressing bad.

Especially because he has a NMC. So he's going nowhere

The no move gives kesler some choice. When is the last time a nmc prevented a team from moving someone?

Fowler, Stoner and Motour
For Bennett, Josefon, and a 2nd

I would swap one of the NJ Fs with Blandisi if it makes it more enticing
I know nothing about montour other than a young D man

Henrique wont get traded until they see if Hall and him still have chemistry from Jrs

You aren't getting a top4 defensman and a very high end defense prospect for that. Part of getting that haul is taking on Kesler's contract without that the deal doesn't happen. I can't understat this Montour is ready to play in the NHL most likely in a top 4 role and be very good on the PP. This trade makes the devils much better in the transition game. Makes their D core not bad at all with Greene, lovejoy and Serverson.

Agreed but I thought the Henrique= Kesler was backed out.
Stoner contract is an anchor, something has to come back for that.
I thought Theodore was the stud coming in to be the top 4 guy.

Stoner contract is bad but has much less money and can be bought out. The ducks are loaded with Defensemen talent. Both Theodore (LHD) and Montour (RHD) will most likely be top 4 in a year or 2 if given the chance. Like I don't think Bennett, Josefson and a 2nd gets you Fowler (top 4 D). You are looking at 2 bottom 6 forwards and a mid 2nd just don't see that getting it done. I don't even think it would do Fowler and stoner for Bennett and Josefson. You can't give away top 4 D for bottom 6 forwards becuase finding cheap bottom 6 forwards isn't hard in the NHL.
