marner is over payed and i wouldn't want him on my team, but i think boqvist needs to be the centerpiece of a deal like this. otherwise Toronto would be more interested in a deal including ellis.

As good as Mitch is this is an overpay in my opinion

Highly doubt Chicago would entertain moving Boqvist.

This isn't the worst deal I've seen for Marner, although I don't know too much about Mitchell, aside from the fact that he's likely a few years away based on his age.

Hawks have comparable contracts on the books as Toronto I’m kinda seeing it as Chicago is putting themselves into the exact same situation Toronto is getting themselves out of only Chicago has key RFAs to be keeping in mind within 2 years lots of money is already tied up 3+. This cap crunch could be facing could be much worse than Tampa is in now. I think once the cap freeze is lifted in 3 years will see a large spike but those RFAs come first. In my opinion until seabrook is 100% confirmed LTIR this team shouldn’t be spenders or adding cap. They looked excellent against Edmonton which deserves a lot of respect in my opinion. Made a fast highly skilled team look slow and forced them to play sloppy and for the most part stayed aggressive enough to prevent a lot of Edmonton to even get their game going.
