Description

Have been hearing it all weekend. The Devils are trying to trade Schneider to Ottawa or will buy him out. In an alternative move, they like Henrik a lot. Could trade for him straight up or sign him if bought out. Have told the Rangers they would be willing to take on his full salary. Could be some big stuff!

I mean, I'm like 99.99% sure that this has to be the real Eklund, because the pure idiocy of this "rumor" falls completely in line with the bogus stuff that he tries to pass of as "rumors" on a regular basis

Ottawa is going to give something up to take Schneider? Free cap relief for the Rangers? Sign me up! Think I can get a 1st in exchange for David Backes?!?!

Ottawa will need significant draft compensation to take Schneider, which is unnecessary considering the Devils aren't hurting. And Fitz's would be committing GM-suicide in his first off-season acquiring Hank from NYR.

Lines look good! It's nice to see Walsh crack the lineup. It was a nice bit news in an otherwise crappy 5:15ET yesterday. The Devils LD is hurting. They need someone in that top spot bad.
