Either of those guys would be fun to see come to NYR.

I'd take that as a Sharks fan, is Strome more wing or centre?

Idk why sharks fans like Strome. His totals are inflated, we don't need to invest our already limited cap space into a forward who doesn't drive play. Better to pursue other avenues like Toffoli via free agency or better forwards in general.

He has been playing Center for the Rangers but I believe he can play wing too.

He's been our 2C since coming over. Will admit a streaky player but when he is on he is on.

Buyer beware tag should be stuck onto strome. Was a 2c for rangers in Edmonton he never looked like anything more than a serviceable 3c. Did play some wing with us I actually thought that’s where he was better. I don’t like to discredit a player because he played with a superstar it’s not really fair but in stromes case find tough not to.

Because he’s a better right handed option than every single free agent out there except for Toffoli who will inevitably be too expensive for us and is unlikely to sign here in the first place.

You need more cap space. Y’all are going to have close to 11 million in performance bonuses.

I would take Smith or Fast any day over trading for Strome, he’s going to be an overpaid 3rd liner.

Smith is good, but not much of a top 6 forward. The same goes for Fast. I actually do like them both, but I’m not confident that either of them will be particularly impactful. Although Strome isn’t much better either.
