I think the Lightning ask for more for Cirelli’s rights (they’d get more if he got offer sheeted). He’ll also probably make north of 6mil per year. Sens are fine with that deal. Retained salary is a thing you can include in trades and let the system calculate it btw

No argument here. If they wanna pay him as their 3C that much it’s their choice. They don’t have that cap space luxury as it stands. Any OS has to be well thought out to have a chance let alone entice him to sign.
