Tony DeAngelo is a lot better than Montour, you can definitely get a better return for him

I'm personally really high on Montour so thats why I thought maybe a 1 for 1 would be a fair RFA swap so thats just the base if the trade if anything needs to be added

Buffalo has too many RHD as it is, if they are going to trade one they don’t need another one back.

Montour's LD no? Doesn't help my case of convincing Sabres Fans to say yes lol but I was looking to deal Tony for a LD.

He played LD with Ristolainen when he came back from his injury in November. But he’s better on his right side. McCabe could be available he’s a shutdown defenseman that plays on the left side.

The way you just described McCabe means he isn't available. We don't have any other shutdown D, especially on the left side
