Description
I'm aware there are alot of deals here. I realize the odds are not there. But this is for fun and if it were possible here are some of the deals I think could help the Oilers improve.

Whar are your thoughts on the trades? To much...not enough? I'm also banking on the Oilers making a deal with Seattle for Neal next year. I'm sure the cost will be high, but if the salary cap doesn't go up...I don't think the Oil have a choice.

I have no clue as to what C. Andersons value will be next year, but I think we could give him a year at a low amount to ride out a couple contracts...including Pouliot and Sekera which will give the Oilers 2.5 million more next year. plus a Neal deal gives us about 7-8 million to play with. We should be able to sign Nuge, Yamo and maybe Larsson. I see RNH signing for about 7M, Yamo 3.5 (2yrs) and Larsson at around the same. 4m. Which would still leave us with money for a goalie.

Edmonton has liked Brown for awhile. Ottawa gets back a couple of picks, a good prospect, and a low-cost D man.

I know we have a lot of Russell opinions. If you've watched him the last couple years, he's definitely a reliable 5-6 and was probably our best d-man against Chicago. 1.5m owed in salary with a cap hit of 4M. Ottawa can handle the cap hit with ease and spends minimal to obtain a decent 5-6. The real question is would he go? Let's pretend he does...after all this is pretend.

We gave up entirely too much to get Zucker just to flip him after 15? games.

That is probably the case, but is the value there? Is Zuckers value higher than Nurse or less? Put aside that he's only played 15 games. Is the deal legit?

I'd like him on our team, but this is a deep draft. I think Edmonton passes. It's a good counter offer.

I thought about him to. What do you think they'd have to offer him? Can they afford Brodie? The cap is gonna be tricky to work around and I'm not sure Brodie would fit into our budget.

That's very intriguing. The first would be hard to accept. A second and it's a deal. Maybe we even throw in a additional pick.
