Ah yes 15 million in the crease, love it. Fr tho the Habs just don’t do the Allen trade. Killorn trade is interesting and plausible. I’d like to see what Wild fans think of Domi for Brodin. Is Mete worth a second? 3mil seems like a lot for Kovy back.

If you don’t already know how Wild fans feel about Domi for Brodin, you must be new around here...so, I’ll go easy on you. WE HATE the idea of Domi for Brodin because Brodin is a much, much better player!

Okay fair enough. I'm not a huge Wild fan so good to know what they think. So honest question: who do most Wild fans have for picking up as a new centre? You obviously need one, so where are you hoping to get him? Who are the popular ones?

I'm really tired of Habs fans trading Poehling. He was a rookie who got very little playing time and actual games. Give him time!

Totally agree adding Allen is bananas...but the Blues need to dump him and there aren't that many teams who want him as a #1 (or even a #2 as their backup). The Habs can afford him as a #2 and since he's only there for one year, they'd only be doing this once with their cap space.

We all seem to agree on offer sheeting, or trading for Cirelli. Others of varying degrees of interest include: Dylan Strome, Ryan Strome, William Nylander, Martin Necas, among others.

Lol this is exactly how I thought Wild fans would react. I know Minny needs a new C but good to know you aren’t THAT desperate for one. I haven’t actually seen Domi for Brodin straight up before, usually there are 3 or 4 pieces swapping sides (and honestly Cirelli or one of the Stromes seem like a more common target) so just wanted to make sure I had an accurate read on Brodin’s value (and I’m more critical of Domi than most people seem to be so I didn’t want to be the first to say it’s extremely lopsided haha)

Cirelli might happen; that's a possibility, but it'd have to be a big offer. Nylander would only be traded if they could get the Leafs a big-time D, and he's not even really a centre much...so are you willing to give up Nylander for Brodin or Dumba? Dylan Strome could be resigned by Chicago for sure and Ryan Strome will be resigned now that they've got Lafreniere (they can afford him). Martin Necas: that one sounds possible...but not next year. They Canes can afford him at least for next year and would wait it out before the expansion draft. Anyone else?

Fair enough...but I honestly don't see what's so amazing about Brodin. I think he's a fair swap for Domi because it fills needs on both sides. But seriously, a year ago the guy had only 18 points and was a -15 in 82 games. That's not the sign of an amazing player.

I think we should hold onto him in most cases...but Killorn is good value.

I agree. He could eventually become a replacement for Danault.

You're definitely entitled to your own opinions, and yes, I know that comparing a D to a C isn't the same thing, but some basic stats in the last 5 years:

Domi: .669 points / game in 375 games | 4 +/-
Brodin: .275 points / game in 360 games | 23 +/-

So basically if you want a guy who's a little better defensively (he is a defenceman after all), and a guy who'll score less than half of what the C will, then yes, Brodin's your man. Much much better player...well...you're entitled to your opinion.
