Kings decline. They need Roy, they don't need Johnsson.

It’s not necessarily bad value wise, but there’s a greater need for Roy than there is for Johnsson in LA, so Kings probably axe this.

Not necessarily, the Kings are in need for a decent LW signed for a longer term; floating Trevor Moore on the third line isn't that strong. Plus their Defense prospect pool is larger than their LW. I guess they could sign a UFA but who's out there thats comparable to Johnsson for that price? Nobody. They may not want to give up a 3rd round pick though, which I can understand, id be happy even with a 4th rounder.

DeMelo will get more money then that even with the cap being flat.
