No I would not do the trade if I was Florida 😂. A top prospect and an average player overpayed for an underperforming 5.7M goalie

If I’m Florida I’d rather bet on Bob rebounding than Jones rebounding and losing a 1st. Bob normally does this year on year off bs, it’s just unfortunate for Tallon this year was an off year

The subsequent drafting of Askarov after acquiring Bob would be just as head scratching as Florida drafting Spencer Knight. Bc of the term on his contract.
Is he going to be the starter or not. Bc it’s A LOT of money for someone not named Carey Price.

I doubt Bob bounces back. As you can see in the playoffs Columbus' goalies have hyper inflated save percentages because they keep shots to the perimeter. This makes their goalies seem a lot better than they really are.

Bobrovsky is getting paid 10M for 6 more years.

It wouldn't be SJS drafting Askarov...

Quoting: JumboJoe
as could Jones

Would you take the deal as a Sharks fan?

If it’s Florida drafting Askarov then I’m even more confused, since they just drafted Knight..

No from the Sharks. Look at that team! Jumbo back in the top 6 and a 3rd line that will get caved by anyone. That team isn’t going anywhere no matter how good Bob performs. We need to hope Jones rebounds and hedge our bets with a 1B vet goalie on a 60/40 split.
