Flames have zero interest in this trade. Hanifin = Deangelo. The rest is just quantity for quality

Deangelo is barely better on offense and is way better on the pp. Thats it. Hanifin has defense to his game and is a year younger. He is also signed to a fair contract. That still won't make the flames entertain in the trade

ADA is «barely» better on offense you say? It's not as if Hanifin has never shown that he can quarterback a PP while ADA has done that while also putting insane number playing with Marc Staal.

Also ADA's defense isn't bad at all, you'll see what I mean the second he stops playing with Staal.

Like for instance ADA's career defensive zone % is higher than Hanifin's

Edit:

ADA's is at 46%
Hanifin's at 44%

By what everyone claimes about ADA (that he's one of the worst defensive d-men in all of hockey) his defensive zone starts should be in the toilet (like below 35%) right?
Well...

What if Kravtsov was substituted for Howden?

Hanifin isn't a pp player. and hey. Hanifin will be very good on defense when he stops playing with Hamonic and plays with Andersson

Hamonic just had one bad season and everyone is already throwing him under a bus, where as Staal has been AWFUL since 15-16
