agreed lol

Zadorov for Kapanen, 1 for 1, is barely fair value.
COL doesnt have room in their bottom 6F for Engvall.
COL doesnt bring in Dermott to push Timmins out

A COL 2nd is nearly an early 3rd.
I stand by the point they dont have room for Engvall and Dermott doesnt push Timmins out

I'd say Dermott > Zadorov. Dermott had the second highest Goals Above Replacement on Toronto this year and solid underlying stats. Zadorov had the lowest on Colorado. Dermott will come cheaper too, no arb rights like Zadorov, and that's valuable to the cap strapped leafs. Add in Engvall (who I don't think is that good but is at least a roster player) and it doesn't shape up well for Toronto.

Gotta give something valuable to get something valuable. Especially when you're trading with a team you already ripped off once

without a doubt zadorov > dermott. it was pretty clear after watch the clb series that toronto needs more grit. that's why they are linked to gudas. id throw in their 6th back for engvall but that's it. arbitration isnt an issue with zadorov as he would get right around his q.o. anyway.

look at the roster there is plenty of room for engvall. i'd be willing to swap 2nds from the jost trade.

Ottawa accepts and then sits in awe of the fact that moving Ryan Dzingel got them Tyson Jost, Antony Duclair and a 2nd rd pick.

Yeah but they can just sign Gudas for free (in the sense of giving up assets) and not give up Dermott, who is good and has played the right side for them.

Zadorov isn't good man, you yourself even said you weren't a fan. I'm no Gudas fan but even he is above replacement value. Why do you think Zadorov would be worth so much to another team?

sure if gudas wants to go there or if toronto doesnt get outbid. both are big factors. zadorov comes with 2 years of team control.
