I don't think Nashville would have interested in that package for Sissons. Though I do think they would be interested in Asplund in a different deal.

What would you propose to make a Colton Sissons deal go through?

I don't see Sissons being traded at all. He is the Preds 3C when Bonino goes via trade or free agency after next season. But I would place his value at around two 3rds or equivalent. The Preds signed him long-term for a reason though -- they won't want to deal him unless they get an overpay.

I agree with @villenash that there isn't anything of interest for NSH in the OP, but I disagree that Sissons couldn't be made available for something reasonable. With Trenin, Blackwell, Pitlick coming up, I think NSH has the bottom six center depth to replace him. Samuelsson and Portillo are the BUF prospects I think would be of the most interest to NSH.

I think Pitlick will center the 4th line when Sissons is promoted to 3C (give Pitlick one more year in the AHL). Was Trenin playing center in Milwaukee? He's listed as C, but I can't find his FO% stats -- so I'd be curious how he did since he was mainly used on the wing in NSH. I view Blackwell as just a 1-2 year stop-gap 12/13th forward. But yes, NSH does have some options at center. But if NSH potentially loses Turris, Bonino, and Sissons within two seasons then their center depth isn't looking that great when they're replaced with Blackwell and Pitlick. I could see Sissons traded, but I don't think Poile is trying to shop him like he may be doing to other players.

As far as Samuelsson and Portillo. Either of those players would be a boost to NSH's prospect pool.

That Islanders trade is HORRENDOUS. Beau is breaking out tremendously. Could be borderline elite in Trotz's system. Hardest of passes
