Not a bad idea, and I like the resigns....

MTL certainly could use a big body in front of the net, and playoff troubles aside, JVR is a lock for 25 goals a year. His contract is about 1.4mil too much, but it doesn't have a long time to run on it, so he'll remain productive.

Philly probabl;y takes that in a second, BUT, I think they have to add something, MTL has picks, so maybe a mid level prospect/youngster whos further in his development, (a Bunnamon, a Strome, a Hogberg)

It is certainly an interesting deal, and Philly is looking to get rid of JvR, but not at the expense of a 1st-round pick. Ideally they'd dump him in the Seattle expansion or trade him to his hometown of NJ for late round picks.

Unfortunately neither Domi nor JVR are playing at their value right now, and production wise and contracts are not too far apart, but the PHI 1st is probably too low by itself, simply as Domi is the younger player.

JVR is probably the more reliable prioducer, while domi is the grittier player, but they both fit a respective need.

JVR, PHI 1st and Connor Bunnamon (big rookie defensive center, who looked very good last night) for Domi, seems fairer IMO

Weise? Maybe Habs can hire him to scout the mid-west
