What? Only way you get #2OA is with #1OA.

There can always be a way, for the right price.

This ain't it... maybe Kakko + Shesterkin

Kakko would have went no higher than 4th in this year's draft and as low as 8.

LA isn't trading 2OA, as much as I'd love for the Rangers to get their hands on it in addition to 1OA (so we can get Byfield and address our lack of center depth). But if they were interested in making a trade with NY, NY trading a starting goalie and future superstar scorer for a single draft pick would be absolutely mad.

This is the reason i made this trade. Might have to add but is one potentially excellent player worth a bunch of potentially great players. Maybe with the kings being in a rebuild, it would be. Highly doubt it though, It was just a fun thought.

I think CAR 1st, the 2021 1st, Ziba, Deangelo and Kravstov could prob get it done.

That's how good the top 3 guys in this draft are (especially Lafreniere).

The top 3 guys in this draft probably would all have went above Hughes in last years draft and Lafreniere is significantly better than the other 2.

I mean the value is there but the Kings are rebuilding they don't need Ziba.

Maybe 4 1sts and Kravstov and Chytil for #2

That might get us into the top 10 a seance time with the right partner. IDK about a team handing over pick number 2

The Kings already have a bunch of potentially great players in their system. Look at Turcotte, Vilardi, Kaliyev, Fagemo, etc. They need the "potentially excellent player" more than 2 or 3 more "great" ones. There might be a trade to be done for 1st OA, but the Kings won't trade out of the top 3 with the state their rebuild is at.

That's true and 2 of the great players you listed are centers with excellent c depth past those guys as well. less loaded on the wings and rd which is part of the reason i proposed this.

There's no way anyone is trading Zibanejad AND four pieces for a draft pick

Turcotte has experience on the left wing, and Vilardi has experience on the right. Kupari will play wing in the NHL, Thomas can do the same. Kings will have no problems adding Byfield to the center depth and letting competition push one or two of the others to the wing. In fact, that's probably best case scenario. Like I said, there's a trade available for #1OA because that's the "excellent" player that's also a winger, but I sincerely doubt anything out of top 3.

Yes but I think the 2OA pick is being overvalued. Granted LA is not going to trade out of the top 10 if they do trade 2OA, but still I think it's unrealistic to suggest that one of NHL.com's top 10 centers and four other pieces equal a 2OA pick.

Maybe, but it would take an overpayment like that to get it. I would never expect the Rangers to offer it.
