This is just me, but I don't see NYR as a great fit as a trade partner. Anyone the Flames would want, NYR would want to keep

Here’s the deal I would mind doing something around strome and deangelo but I’m a bit worried about monahan his production and touted abilities haven’t been the same so I just can’t decide whether I’d love trading for him. But hey maybe if he’s on a better team his production will go back up

If they feel like there getting the old monahan then this trade makes a lot of sense. We get a legit 2C and deangelo is someone it’s hard to see them keeping past maybe a bridge deal anyways bc we have nils coming. Is monahan a bad defensive player?

im not a rangers fan. i just think that offer is terribly light. I dont think many teams want strome knowing full well this could be a flash in the pan year. never buy high like that. andersson is straight up "trade me or im not playing here" zero value from nyr stand point in a trade only way he moves is for another "bust" type player. that leaves really a late first and matthew robertson which the flames have a couple LD in their system. calgary is going to want quality not quantity coming back for monahan. itd be an even swap from them for a similar potential player.
