Description
KINGS
+HQ will play 63 games and get 24 goals and be a netfront presence, RW/PP goals, pest and locker rm vet with rings- Had a good year. Kings dont play fast.
+/- would add ZAR if he was healthy for a LW roster player going to kings
-HQ Contract could be bad later
-Strand ~Kings set at RD

MIN
+Murray, worth a second (Greenway+ a little?) see if he regains form with better D
-/+ Bjugstad, No value, but dont need to attach an asset.. MIN need C/RW Depth (Minny boy).
-Greenway, Clears way for Kaprisov.
(maybe Dubynk comes back with salary retained?)

OTT
+McCann, Scored 20+ and played really well at 2C.. Streaky but worth a 2+

PENS:
+get out ahead of Hornqvist contract (even though they need him netfront).
+Get STRAND RD flyer to push Ruhwedehl, Kings set at RD
+Greenway- adds some size and youth, maybe needs change of scenery (maybe foligno?)
+UFA RW FAST, Seems like a GMJR contract.. maybe he gels top 9 somewhere, locker room leader
+UFA LD Tanev.. Brothers (not gonna happen cause of JJ)
-Take back Carter cap hit that is only 3M real money.. he adds value or gets contract traded

*ADD to 3C, RW or D at trade deadline
*Poulin, Hallander, Legare, POJ almost ready
*Bury JJ later

Pens fans stop trading McCann - He is the only young NHLer (under 25) talented player we have w/ upside ... we need more 23yr olds NOT less.

GMJR said he is going to do everything he can to get younger NHLers

It'll be okay, its just an exercise.. But he didn't play well as 3C starting in the D zone all the time (possibly because the 3D and murray couldnt advance puck). Bluegar is just as valuable and has a defensive mindset. I gave him a better LW.. Hallendar soon ready or trade to upgrade 3C

I think Bjugstad and Murray do some how end up in Minnesota. I think Wild probably end up sending a better draft pick than a 4th but I'm also think the Wild wouldn't want the full cap hit of Bjugstad ( there may be space for it but not certain), so maybe offset with a player going back to Pittsburgh.

Wild send Pateryn 1/2 retained so Pens get him for 1 year at 1250000 + Greenway + 2021 3rd

Penguins send Murray + Bjugstad.

could they get a similar player to McCann value wise for a 2nd....probably not. Bad trade.

Greenway is way to slow to be a penguin. He would never fit in the system.

I don't think LA does that trade and I don't see how it's anything but a lateral move.
One older slow guy for another.
On top of it, no way Horny accepts going to LA.

GmJr said on MM show yesterday - That keeping McCann at LW & at 1 position all yr will help him and getting a more defensive 3rd line Center is big this offseason
