I guess you think they will be winning the cup? Those projections all seem "high end" to me.

of course a leafs fan has realistic expectations....wish there was a sarcastic font!

As for your projections, I also think Ehlers is going to have a much better year. Don't know if Connor is going to make the team for the full season let alone hit over 40 points but it's totally possible depending who he plays with. Stafford usually has more g's than A's so his might be high but these aren't all that unrealistic.

278 goals. Considering they managed 212 last season, you may want to lower your expectations a bit.

That is 13 more than NHL leading Dallas from last season. I would be ecstatic if true but agree that is too much puck to go around. I'm ok with your first line projections but something would have to give on the second through fourth lines as there isn't enough ice time (especially pp time) all of them to score at career levels.

the 3rd and 4th lines also featured the likes of Thorburn, Peluso, Kosmichuck, and others who are just that, 3rd and 4th liners. This year the Jets will be rolling 4 lines with more potential! Still agree the totals are very optimistic but lets also add in the fact that Ehlers started the season playing with guys like Thor, Ladd had a BRUTAL year, Little got hurt same with Perrault and Myers. Towards the end of the year Ehlers Scheif and Wheeler were the best line in hockey. Pretty sure Scheifele was the highest scoring fwd the last 20 games so if they play a full season together it's not unfathomable they'd all have career years!

These are ridiculously high on a overall total maybe some guys might reach these totals but definitely not everyone and probably not 50% of them. These are all career highs practically. Has that ever happened in the history of hockey? These are more like individuals point potential if all given 18 mins a night for 82 games playing top line with PP. I'm sorry but there is only s certain amount of time on one team. This is dreaming in technicolor.

I would put my money where my mouth is. I would gladly take a bet with anyone and see where they end up at the end of the season. My bet, only 4 of the forwards reach these totals listed this year. If anything. Definitely not all 12 of them.

This is assuming they all play 82 which we know they all won't

Even if The Jets ice the same 18 skaters every game, they're not going to increase the team scoring by almost a goal per game.
The best part of these projections is that even though they would be the highest scoring team in the last five years, they still manage to lose 36 games! How bad are the GAAs?

It has nothing to do with the potential of these players. The goal total is outrageous. How many teams last year had 4 guys with 60+ points? 9 with 50+? That's the problem with this thread.
